for the Fluff VR Stats app and Fluff Bot · last updated October 6, 2026
the short version
we don't sell anything, we don't run analytics, and we don't keep a database of you. the app runs on your PC. the bot only remembers what it needs to run the server :3
Fluff Bot: what it uses
- server setup info: the IDs of the channels and roles it creates, saved in a small settings file on the computer that runs the bot.
- presence: it checks whether members are currently using Fluff VR Stats (from their Discord activity) to give the "In VR Now" role and show a live count. it doesn't store this history.
- members: it uses member join and leave events to welcome people and give the default role.
- messages: it checks messages for invite-link spam. when a message is edited or deleted, the bot posts a copy in the server's private staff mod-log channel so moderators can see it. the bot itself doesn't save messages anywhere else.
- GitHub: it checks the public GitHub releases page to announce updates.
Fluff VR Stats app: what it uses
- everything runs locally on your PC. your settings stay in
config.jsonon your computer. - Global chat (optional mod): messages you send go through the free public ntfy.sh relay to everyone using the app and our Discord. it's a public room, so never post personal info.
- Discord status (optional, on by default): the app tells your local Discord app what to show on your profile, like your fps, world name and song. turn it off in Mods → Fun → Discord status.
- Discord server info: the app reads the public widget of the Fluff VR Stats server to show how many people are online.
- weather and ping (optional): only if you turn them on.
- world and player info comes from VRChat's own log file on your PC and never leaves it.
sharing
we don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. data only goes to the services listed above when you use those features.
removing your data
leave the server and the bot stops seeing you. delete the app folder to remove all app data from your PC. want something removed from a mod-log? ask a server admin, or contact us below.
kids
the app and bot are for people who meet Discord's and VRChat's minimum age requirements.
changes
if this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
